Hello #StandWithTXWomen Supporters,

Next week, the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is accepting public comment on the implementation of House Bill 2. This is an opportunity for us to voice opposition to this dangerous bill and to offer amendments that could help protect access to safe, legal abortion.

–Wednesday, August 28 at 1PM – State Heath Services Council Work Session

–Thursday, August 29 at 9AM – State Health Services Council Meeting

On Wednesday, August 28 at 1PM, DSHS is holding a State Heath Services Council Work Session where they will consider amendments to rules concerning abortion facility reporting and licensing. PUBLIC COMMENTS (limited to 2 minutes per person) WILL BE ACCEPTED at this work session.

The next day, on Thursday, August 29 at 9AM, DSHS will be holding a State Health Services Council Meeting where the full council will vote on the rules related to abortion facility reporting and licensing and make a decision on their recommendations to Executive Commissioner Kyle Janek.

PUBLIC COMMENTS (limited to 2 minutes per person) WILL ALSO BE ACCEPTED during the DSHS Council meeting on August 29.
